Length of bar = Number of products good + - poor Price

For every product group, QualityZoom is calculating a so-called price-band which shows the prices from the lowest to the highest price of offered items. To avoid biases, outliers are removed from the observed values, e.g. extremely expensive offerings.

The lowest offered price (either Amazon or PriceRunner) is then put into relation to that price-band thus getting a price index which represents the price of the item in comparison to the overall market offering.

* the lower the price of the item, the better/higher is the price index

* the higher the price of the item, the worse/lower is the price index
