Trigger
The device on the camera, which sets of the shutter operation, is called the "trigger". When pushed it opens the shutter of the lens and thus starts the light exposure of the film or CCD-Chip. By default the trigger can be found on the upper right corner of the camera. Aditionally there are remote release trigger, cable trigger, wire trigger and self releasing trigger. Also most digital cameras allow for many shots to be taken one after another with a single release of the trigger.
Trigger Delay
The Trigger Delay is the time span between the release of the cameras trigger and the actual snapping of the picture. It is given in seconds (s).
