Whilst effective pixels are used to display an image, the remaining maximum amount of pixels out of a visible range are used for filtering the image. The deciding amount of pixels is thus the effective one, which should start at 300.000 for the normal consumer and at 690.000 pixels for the professional. The Amount of pixels is mostly given in millions (Mio).
