Shutter speed

Whilst aperture controls the amount of incoming light, the shutter speed controls the exposure time. In the dark, it is recommended to use a long shutter speed, or a rather short one in bright light. In order to adjust the shutter speed optimally to the lighting environment, one should calibrate it manually.
