The "Secure Digital Card" is a digital storage card which saves data on the basis of flash-storage. SD-storage cards are often used as storage devices in digital cameras.

Secure Digital High Capacity Card (SDHCC) is the new generation of SD-cards. The cards can develop a capacity of up to 32 GB and can therefore adjust to the ever changing demands of high performance. These cards are segmented into three velocity types (class 2, class 4, class 6).
