Having enough memory and battery are the most important accessories for video filmers. When you are traveling, you should always have at least two, better three spare batteries and an additional recharger. A UV filter protects the front lens and a polarised filter shows you a blue sky even on hazy days. Experienced filmers use an external microphone to avoid recording handling and zooming noises. A tripod provides stable filming.

Glossary

Battery- /Storage Battery

There are many different battery and storage battery systems, which can be segmented into primary and secondary systems. The primary system is also known as "battery" and is mostly not reachargable. The secondary system can be called rechargable battery or storage battery, which vary in their chemical composition of their electrolytes or their electrodes and their construction method. The main criteria are energy compatibility, charging features, decharging features or behaviour under certain temperatures.

Secure Digital Card

The "Secure Digital Card" is a digital storage card which saves data on the basis of flash-storage. SD-storage cards are often used as storage devices in digital cameras.

Lens

The lens is the most essential factor for a good image quality. Whilst often only (semi-)professional cameras support a change of lens, there are a range of mountable tele- and wide-angle intents for consumer devices. Usually there is a choice between manual, automatic or program settings. There are also differences between amateur and (semi-)professional usage.
